Cedar Lake Improvement District (CLID) Meeting Minutes held on March 1, 2021, 7:00-8:00 pm via Zoom due to COVID.

Attendees: Dave Nielsen, Joel Larsen, Tim Schroeder, Paul Hoyt, Amy Gallagher, Pamela Caselius, and Tim Singleton.

Agenda:
-Lake Clean-up
-Treasuer's Report
-Annual Report Preparation
-Review Board Member Terms
-CLID Plant Surveys
-9 Elements Plan

Joel kicked off the meeting to provide an update on the lake clean-up scheduled for March 6th. He has reached out to the Boy Scouts, Archery club, Trap Shooting Club and the New Prague Sportsman’s club to ask for volunteers to assist. Lakers’ Sanitation has volunteered again to provide dumpsters at both the North and East access points. Paul, Amy, Pamela and Tim Schroeder have volunteered to assist that day starting at 9 am.

Tim Singleton provided an updated Treasurer’s report. The second half of the levy arrived in December along with a small additional amount in January. In February we also paid $450 for lake clean up signs which were placed in March reminding ice fisherman to clean up after visiting which had been previously approved by majority vote.

Tim Schroeder advised that there was an inquiry from a resident regarding interest in joining the board. At this time there are no known openings as all board members are still engaged. This inquiry was very much appreciated as things can change quickly as we have seen in years past and as terms come up for renewal there will be opportunities for those with interest.

Tim Schroeder continued the meeting discussing a proposal for carp management presented at the request of the board by WSB Carp Management. The proposal is quite comprehensive and after much discussion it was determined more information was needed so a presentation of the proposal is scheduled via Zoom for March 9, 2021 at 6:30 pm with all board members invited. More detail to follow at our next meeting.

Tim Schroeder continued the meeting discussing his draft report for our annual report to the county. All agreed it looked acceptable and with a few minor changes was approved for submission to the county. Tim is meeting again with the County regarding the CLID budget and annual meeting for guidelines which he will present findings on at our next meeting.

Motion to adjourn was made by Pamela and seconded by Tim Singleton. Next meeting set for April 5th, 2021 6:30 pm via zoom.
