6:30 New Prague Public Library

Attended by:

Board members—Tim Schroeder, Amy Gallagher, Dave Nielsen, Paul Hoyt, John Tuschner, Ted Schnaare, Dave Skogland

Non-Board Members:  Melissa Bokman, Larry Vollmar, Gerry Neville, Jim Paulson, Scott Sousek

Called to order 630 by Chair Tim Schroeder

Agenda approved by unanimous consent

Melissa Bokman from the Scott County Watershed District attended.  She wants to review the 10 year watershed plan for Cedar Lake. Along with County input, she would like to review goals for the lake—clear versus turbid water state.  Passed out lake phosphorus.  She also reminded us of the dates for the free water testing.   That is set for Cedar Lake Farm on 9/11 from 6 to 8.  Dave will work with her to get a date to come back and work with the board on the 10 year plan.

Time for election of officers and board member changes.  We welcome 4 new board members, Larry Vollmar, Gerry Neville, Jim Paulson and Scott Sousek.  The board members that are “retiring” are Tim Schroeder, Amy Gallagher and Dave Neilsen

Paul Hoyt to chair, Dave Skogland to treasurer and John Tuschner to secretary

Discussed current level of funds in the CLID accounts.  What else can be done with funds and should there be in increase in the amount collected from residents

Dave mentioned the weeds/trees leaving the launch area and unable to see vehicles leaving the landing area at 24698 E Cedar Lake.  The county is responsible for that and should be contacted to get a better view for boaters leaving the parking lot.

Discussion of rep from Lake Dowd.  Weed control is the big issue.  Started as aeration project.   He joined us to get ideas of a formal board at Dowd and what level of funding and how do we collect the funds

Next meeting Oct 7that 6:30 pm at the New Prague public library
