Cedar Lake Improvement District (CLID) Meeting Minutes held on September 14, 2020, 6:30-8:00 pm at Tim Schroeder’s home outdoors due to COVID.

Attendees: Dave Nielsen, Joel Larsen, Tim Schroeder, Paul Hoyt, Amy Gallagher, Pam Caselius and Tim Singleton

Agenda:
-Treasurer's report
-Summer Lake conditions review
-Upcoming DNR meeting
-Levy Renewal

Tim Singleton presented treasurer’s report with the only major expense being the annual weed treatment from PLM. Tim also advised that a CD was renewed in June.

Tim Schroeder advised that a meeting with the DNR is scheduled for October 15, 2020 to discuss future treatment, on-going water quality and native plant growth. All board members felt the water quality was the best this summer it has ever been but native plant growth has been inconsistent in some areas it appears. More discussion will be needed at our next meet which will be after we meet with the DNR.

Tim Schroeder also brought up prepping for the levy renewal vote in 2021 and that the board needed to make sure we were ready to accommodate. One of the biggest concerns is around the CLID’s budget as it is difficult to develop with so many unknowns around future weed treatments. Again the CLID is looking for guidance from the DNR here and hoping to learn more at our virtual meeting with them on October 15th.

Pam motioned to adjourn seconded by Tim Singleton.

Next board meeting set for October 14th at 6:30 pm at with place to be determined based on outdoor temperature and COVID availability.
