The First Annual Winter Lake Clean-up Event held on March 8, 2015 was a huge success! Approximately 50 individuals participated by either walking, using snowmobiles, four-wheelers, trailers or sleds. In addition to local residents and friends, several clubs volunteered their time to help out. A big thank you to the New Prague Snowmobile Club (Snow Drifters), the New Prague Sportsman’s Club, and Cub Scout Pack/Boy Scout Troop 325. As you can see from photos, good times were enjoyed for a good cause. A beautiful sunny 45-degrees made for a great lake day.

During the last weekend when the ice houses were to be removed from the lake, three volunteers distributed garbage bags and flyers to the ice houses with information that dumpsters had been placed at both public landings. Many positive comments were heard.

We very much appreciate that Lakers Sanitary of New Prague donated the two dumpsters for this event.

Cookies and bottled water were offered to the busy volunteers.
